Homestead House***Not Currently Rented***
History The Homestead House was built by Esther's father, Wilmot Swanson, more than eighty years ago. It is a log home, two bedroom, one bath, no direct lake view, but close walking access with the Green Cabin swim beach down the road. Beautiful views of orchard and hillside down to the barn, swing, breezy side porch, screened, lovely place to read a book and relax. The Homestead House has some special features, a hand built fireplace by Wilmot, artistry such as picture frame and one-of-a-kind handrail going upstairs. There is also a "secret step" in the stairs that lifts up for little tykes to hide in or keep their treasures. Outside is a firepit, picnic table, lawn chairs, stocked firewood and grill. |
